Natalie Williams, COO, recognized as Corporate Champion Honoree; Michelle Munkres, Senior Director of Content, recognized as Motivator Honoree

The Chief Operating Officer and Senior Director of Content for Brief Media, publisher of leading veterinary publication and reference brands Clinician’s Brief and Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs, have been named as honorees for the Folio: Top Women in Media 2019 awards.

Natalie Williams, COO, and Michelle Munkres, Senior Director of Content, will be among this year’s class of Folio:’s honorees at an awards ceremony on Friday, June 7, in New York City.

Williams is recognized in the Corporate Champion category, which honors women who have “steered their companies into new markets, new opportunities, new audiences, and strong, measurable growth.”

As COO, Williams has championed significant achievements for Brief Media, perhaps none more so than Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs, which won the Folio: Digital Momentum Award in 2018. Her vision gave new life to the brand, taking it to a multimillion‑dollar enterprise, and revolutionizing how Brief Media leverages its content. Today, as a direct result from Williams’ leadership and corporate focus, Brief Media thrives in its strongest quarterly earnings the company has witnessed to date.

Munkres is an honoree in the Motivators category, which recognizes women who have “made an extraordinary effort, and had an extraordinary impact, on the careers of their colleagues.” Lauded for her versatility as Senior Director of Content, Munkres’ achievements include the launch of Clinician’s Brief Continuing Education, updates to more than 500 Veterinary Medication Guides in response to new legislation in California, and contributions toward Brief Media’s first editorially driven Insights report. In addition, she recently refocused the company’s content strategy to include a greater emphasis on audience and subscription revenue and thought leadership within the veterinary industry.

“Natalie and Michelle are exemplary leaders at Brief Media and role models for strength of character, intellect, and passion in both their careers and personal lives,” said Elizabeth Green, Founder and CEO of Brief Media. “We are pleased to see them each honored and recognized as leading women in media in addition to phenomenal members of our executive team.”
