Brief Media, publisher of leading veterinary publication and reference brands Clinician’s Brief and Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs, has strengthened its revenue department with team growth and a restructure to grow the success of its partners.
Naomi Murray, DVM, has been elevated to director of sales (medical), and Shelley Hurley has been promoted to director of sales (operations); the two will join in co-leading Brief Media’s revenue team. Dr. Murray and Hurley both have more than 7 years in tenure with Brief Media.
Dr. Murray joined Brief Media as an account services manager in 2012. As director of sales (medical), Dr. Murray will fuse her expertise in advertising and account management with her background in veterinary medicine to optimize the impact of partner voices on the veterinary community.
With years of multidimensional experience, Hurley offers unique insight on versatile solutions. As director of sales (operations), Hurley will provide strategic direction to the team’s account directors and marketing services team, offering a new level of focus to enhancing partner relationships while delivering their tailored media programs.
“With Naomi and Shelley at the helm of the revenue team, Brief Media has never been more skilled, capable, or excited to help our strategic partners flourish,” says Elizabeth Green, CEO and founder of Brief Media.
Brief Media has also welcomed Melissa Roberts and Amanda Anderson as strategic account managers. Roberts and Anderson join Brief Media with a wealth of experience in the B2B media industry: Roberts spent more than 14 years in the energy industry with PennWell Corporation, and Anderson was previously a sales manager for Endeavor Business Media’s dental group. Having joined Brief Media in October, Roberts has already proved to be an invaluable asset to Brief Media and its partners, dedicated to developing partnerships—new and established alike—and advertising opportunities for clients. After 7 years in the dental market, Anderson is thrilled to help Brief Media’s partners, aided by an extraordinary database and industry-leading media platforms, meet and exceed their marketing goals.
In an exciting and new direction for the revenue team, Brief Media has also welcomed a seasoned medical content producer to be solely dedicated to marketing services and custom media programs. Transferring from Brief Media’s exceptional content team, Drue Gindler has been appointed managing editor of marketing services. Gindler has been with Brief Media for more than 5 years and was previously associate editor of Clinician’s Brief, Brief Media’s flagship publication. With her years of experience with Clinician’s Brief’s audience, authors, and content, Gindler is armed with the prowess to embed the same commitment to high-quality content demonstrated by Clinician’s Brief into Brief Media’s custom content.
“This new approach to revenue leadership has set the Brief Media team—and with it, its valued partners—up for success,” says Green. “With this emboldened investment in experience and content quality, we are confident that this team will guide partners to new and remarkable results.”
