Hiring and supporting great people is at the heart of Brief Media. And according to Fortune and Great Place to Work®, it continues to be a winning approach for employee satisfaction.
For the second year in a row, Brief Media has been named one of Fortune’s Best Small Workplaces™, ranking 46th on the 2022 Fortune list released September 7. So, once again, Brief Media finds itself in the best of company.
From information technology to real estate, construction to health care, companies across American industry are represented on this year’s list. They all share a commitment to creating a company culture that their employees love (and don’t want to leave).
For Brief Media, this year’s ranking proves that even after transitioning to working remotely (while providing access to a beautiful co-working space in downtown Tulsa), its people-obsessed approach to company culture continues to thrive. Employees feel they’re in a uniquely beneficial company, noting high levels of work-life balance in particular.
Making the List
To determine the 2022 Best Small Workplaces list, Fortune worked with Great Place to Work®, the global people analytics firm and foremost authority on workplace culture and employee satisfaction.
This year’s top 100 small and medium companies were selected based on more than 30,000 employee survey responses from Great Place to Work-Certified™ companies as well as GPTW® proprietary, data-driven models.
By both measures, Brief Media stands out. The company’s numerous benefits are eye-catching, including flexible schedules, continuing education, parental leave, pet insurance, and mental health support as well as once-in-a-lifetime volunteer opportunities.
In the world of startups and small businesses, thoughtful, human-centric benefits really do stand out. And that has always been the plan for company founder Elizabeth Green.
Since launching Brief Media in 2002, Green has held that putting people first is one of the best ways to maintain and grow a prosperous company run by a dream team of talented professionals.
“Our purpose—to support practicing veterinarians—is more vital today than ever, and it requires a dedicated team to be successful,” Green noted, adding, “We do that best by providing opportunities—in and out of the office—for our diverse group of individuals to grow and develop while offering them ongoing support and coaching. Brief Media is a company with life-long appeal for many, and our mission is to ensure everyone is better for their experience on our team.”
This is what Brief Media will be—with or without the recognition. (But it sure is nice to be noticed.)
